Used Kid's Stuff in Annecy?

Hello,

I am looking for a used car seat for my three year old daughter. I only need one for a week. Is there a place that sells used kid's stuff in Annecy? In the States those types of places are all over the place but perhaps the culture is different here for buying used merchandise. Or does anyone have one that I could borrow from October 27-November 6?

Also I know I could buy one at Carrefour for 30-40 Euros but I hate the idea of buying something to use for only a week and then having to have to figure out what to do with it afterwards.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Patricia

Hi Patricia

I have one that you can borrow for the week if you like. Its an australian model so I have no idea how it fits here (not sure if french cars have anchor points) but you are welcome to come and have a look at it - in fact - we have two - a big one and a littler one, depending on what type of car you'll be in

Hi Penny,

That would be great. Let's talk at school.

Thanks,

Patricia

Hi Patricia,
You seem to have found a solution for the car seat, great!
If, however, you need to find some other item in the future or have something you'd like to sell off.

"Les bébés de Sabine", rue de Chavanne (nr. école St Francois, rail/bus station) Annecy town centre is worth a try - it's a "dépot vente" which means one deposits 2nd hand goods for sale, if sold, the shop keeps a percentage and if unsold, the goods are returned.

The various "vide greniers" held in and around Annecy are also a great source - there's one this W/end in Seynod (short bus/bike ride from Annecy).

A bientôt,
India J:)

Scouts de Cluses is a HUGE 2nd hand store in Cran Gevrier. I can't remember the name of the street, but can give you directions if you're interested. They only sell on Saturdays.
