does anyone know of any volunteer opportunities in or around montpellier? all that i have seen so far are very expensive. i also read about wwoof in the lonely planet guide, but you have to puchase a book from them first which kinda put me off. i am interested in all types of work, as a way of getting involved a bit!

there is no culture of volunteering in France, or indeed many European countries other than UK
