Becoming a foreigner in my own country

My children have grown up and my husband and I have slid into middle age in the 10 years we have lived in Central Europe and Russia. Now, after a decade, it's time to go home, which may be like another foreign posting to us.

This is a really interesting article, and I think it applies to a lot of people. It can definetely be disappointing to go back to one's 'home' and feel like an outsider, escpecially if one was already an 'outsider' in the other country they were living in before. It becomes a matter of adapting and assimilating yourself in the different culture, which can suddenly seem so foreign at first.
