From the previous thread...can someone explain the health care system in France?

Well, I did learn one thing this morning. European doctors don't work 30 hour shifts like docs in America, they are limited to sixteen hours, thirteen hour shifts for new doctors. I'm sure this reduces malpractice, misdiagnosis.

Ha yes I'm sure it does. The average GP works an 8 hour day in Europe by the way.

There are several sites and books on moving to France David Hampshire I think has written one on moving to France but if you look on Amazon for you. They will cover everything from health to everyday life etc You might find one of them useful.
