Can anyone help us please!!! We recently visited France on a property finding trip. On our last day we saw a house which could be perfect for us. It was empty. We called the agent and found it was within our price range. On return to the UK I looked at the agents website but the house was not there. I emailed them - nothing. I emailed them again in French - nothing. I got a French colleague to call them - they were working on supplying us the details - we don't even know how many bedrooms the house has!!! After another two weeks have gone by and numerous telephone calls, emails and faxes we are getting nowhere. Any suggestions as to what we can do apart from giving up?

Get used to it if you're planning on moving to France!! :p

Not a whole lot - some agents are not real go-getters. We've dropped our interest in some properties because the realtors didn't care enough to get back to us. Perfect or not, I'd start looking for something else.

I would just say agents are rip offs.
I think that business is everywhere the same?? House agents re not rip off in other countries?

Some months ago my step father sold his house, he had many problems with the stupid guy of the agency, he thought he could rip us and take more money but he was lucky we didn't smash his face. Be very careful with agents in France. Moreover if you're not expert in the housing business.
