Hello,

Firstly ..not sure how appropriate this forum is as I believe it is mainly for families but hey thought I would give it a shot.. A bit about me.. I am 25 F and have just been offered a job in Paris. I have never spent more than 2 days there and don't know anybody. I am looking into the general cost of living and specifically how to find somewhere to live. I currently live in London and am sharing a really nice place with 2 young single profs who I met though gumtree. Are there any similar sites in France where you can find flatshares or people to look for a place with. I am thinking of either sharing with 1-2 people or finding my own place. At the moment I have found very little on the net with regards to rental accomodation in the Paris area. ... HELP!! Some advice please!

Well it's a hell to find accomodation in Paris (except in crappy boroughts of suburbs of courses ).

The only advice I can give you is hanging around and looking to shared flats and "colocations". Hang out, drink beers, make friends, speak about your problem at your job and so on... you can find in 2 days but you can also find in 2 months... good luck, and welcome in good old Paname.:)

I believe that seloger.com now has an area for flat-sharing; I know it has resources for rental properties in general.

I know these are not for sharing, but my wife and I have been combing www.parisattitude.com (http://www.parisattitude.com), among a couple of other agencies. Am I missing something, because it seems there are several options always available, and pretty straightforward - move-in cost is rent, two months deposit, 10% agency fee?
